Strength in the Hard Times

I prDr. Gordon and Marion Andersonaise the Lord for being raised in a Christian home. My mother and father’s motto was, “Each for the other and both for Christ.”

Their lives personified, every day, the love of Christ through the hard times and through the good times.

One of the most difficult times for my family to get through was the sudden death of my 19-year-old brother, Paul.

The strength and commitment of my Mother’s and Father’s devotion to Christ made a profound impact on my 13-year-old mind at that time.

Seeing the many people who came to know Christ through my brother’s Homegoing brought a special meaning to the power of Christ turning tragedy into triumph.

So many people—not just us—have to face brokenness and heartache. For any of you facing this in your lives, my prayer for you today is that you will put your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Psalm 121:2 My help cometh from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
