Eleanor Sheldon with the Lord

I tell you the truth, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what this woman has done will also be told, in memory of her.
Matthew 26:13

One of our faithful charter members has been called home. Eleanor Sheldon, wife of Tele-Missions’ Board Member, Ray Sheldon, passed away on May 15, 2009. The Board was represented at the funeral at Grace Church in Suffern, New York, by Dr. Anderson and Carol.

According to the obituary, Eleanor was born July 10, 1921 to Wallace and Marion Stalter in Tomkins Cove. Before she was a homemaker, Eleanor worked as a secretary in New York City. She commuted on the West Shore Railroad where she met Ray on the train. She was devoted to her husband, four children, ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She loved everyone and liked to sew and sing and she sang many solos at the churches she attended.

Ray and Eleanor together served Tele-Missions so faithfully. It is very encouraging that their son Rev. Robert Sheldon and his wife, Heather, are determined to be active and support the work of Tele-Missions as their Father and Mother have for the past 55 years.

The Lord calls His children home, but the work of the Lord must go on. Surely your prayers and condolences would be welcome by Brother Ray Sheldon and Family.  Let us be faithful, every one, as Ray and Eleanor have been faithful over the past 55 years.
